Hyderabad: The TSSPDCL junior lineman examination has been cancelled in Telangana. The written exam for 1000 posts was conducted on July 17. Investigations by hyderabad and rachakonda police have confirmed that 181 candidates were involved in mall practice. This number is expected to be even higher. The irregularities came to light after a candidate was caught with his mobile phone at the Ghatkesar examination centre. A candidate has lodged a complaint at amberpet police station against some of the employees for duping them of Rs 1 lakh on the pretext of giving them answers. Five employees, including two ADEs, were arrested and interrogated by the police. Five employees who were already involved in the case have been suspended. TSSPDCL CMD G Raghuma Reddy responded on the issue, that the junior lineman examination conducted earlier has been cancelled in the wake of the mall's practice and a new notification will be announced soon, he said.
